MOVIE REVIEWS

Movies, films, flicks or whatever you call them. I enjoy watching movies and have an unhealthy knowledge of useless information about movies, television and actors. Just ask anyone who has participated in my musical trivia games. They usually involve links to movies of some kind.

Anyway, what I plan to do is run through some of my favourite movies and comment on the film itself and a few other interesting anecdotes. For those that I have also seen on DVD and the disc contains some special features then I will mention them as well. I am a male so I guess the reviews will be focused more from that point of view. That is not to say there will be lewd comments about the females stars, rather I just probably notice more things about them than the males.

I wouldn't say my tastes are unusual but I do have the unfortunate problem of having to watch a movie comletely. This means I have seen some really crap movies. As everyone's tastes are different I am sure you will disagree with many of my comments as well. That's fine, we all watch movies for different reasons. I like to watch them to escape and hence you won't find too many serious ones in my list. Very few are war movies and if they appear too sad then I also give them a wide birth.

Being a teenager in the 80s means that you will see a reasonable amount of teen movies from this period. John Hughes type movies is the best way to describe them I suppose. I'm also going through a period of watching them again so consider that a warning if you didn't like them then and still don't.
