Collateral Damage Movie Review

Actors

Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Leguizamo, John Turturro, Miguel Sandoval, Cliff Curtis, Nicholas Pryor

Movie Review

After finally watching this it's not difficult to see why the release was postponed after the events of September 11, 2001. Terrorists setting off bombs in public areas in the U.S. was a bit too close to home for many people.

This film is really just another Arnold action flick. He plays a fireman whose wife and child are killed in a terrorist blast. He seeks revenge and when the officials won't help he decides to act hmself and travels to Colombia, South America.

Having recently seen a fantastic documentary about some of the world's most dangerous places such as Colombia, and the drug trade, Arnold's version is very sanitzed and it was just a bit too easy for him to infultrate the drug manufacturers operations. But hey, this is the movies I guess.

Needless to say, plenty of action and explosions and isn't this why we watch films with Arnold in them? With the exception of Last Action Hero, I've always enjoyed his movies and finish feeling satisfied.

Regardless of what he has done in his past, true or not, it's not bad for a guy who couldn't speak English when he first arrived in the U.S.

Quotes

Don't even look at those guys unless you can kill 'em.
