Rob Reiner, the director, didn't shoot the first scene with Nicolette Sheridan on the beach.
When Rob Reiner was auditioning for the character ultimately played by Nicolette Sheridan, he was uncomfortable about asking them to dress in a bikini at the audition. Nicolette's response was, "you couldn't handle it". She was given the roll.
